id3tagit

I've been using ID3-TagIt for a very long time but, as my library has grown larger and larger, I'm now storing some of it on a fileserver on my home network. When I open ID3-TagIt and click on "My Network Places" in the Folders pane, I see all the locations I expect to see. However, if I click on the "+" to expand any of the network folders, nothing happens. Is there something special I need to do or does ID3-TagIt simply not understand files on a network? FYI, I'm using version 3.3.0.
